Forty-five percent of South Pasadena's streets urgently need reconstruction or significant repair; the rest continue to deteriorate without adequate investment. For decades, the city lacked the plan and leadership team needed to address this infrastructure challenge. That has all changed.
The city's new leadership team has developed a sustainable plan that enables the South Pas to pay for street repairs with bond revenue and maintain that investment with annual operating funds. This plan requires passing Measure SOS in November. If approved, the revenue generated by the bond will be invested entirely in South Pasadena streets, sidewalks, and curbs.
South Pasadena Yes on Save Our Streets (SOS) 2026 formed to educate our community and rally enough support to reach the two-thirds YES vote required for passage. We launched YesOnSOS.com to provide background information and highlight the community members in support of Measure SOS.
